Cement price rises! Zhejiang cement market starts to improve

According to the market data center of China Cement Network, the recent high temperature weather in Zhejiang has kept the market demand at 6-80%. However, with the increase of clinker price, the price has dropped to a relatively low level in the early stage. In order to improve profitability, some leading enterprises in the province notified the province to raise the cement price by 20-30 yuan/ton from 23rd to 24th.

At the same time, China Cement Network learned that other leading enterprises in Zhejiang are expected to raise the cement price by about 20 yuan/ton from today (July 26).

Does rising prices mean that the sluggish cement market is beginning to improve?

"Yes, it has risen by 20 yuan, and some enterprises have implemented it." The sales director of a large cement enterprise in western Zhejiang said that the price was at a low level, and all cement enterprises wanted to raise the price to restore confidence. But on the whole, the demand is average. "The real estate situation is still poor, and the current shipment is 70% or 80% of the previous year's level." The person in charge disclosed.

A cement enterprise in Huzhou said frankly: "The price is so low that the cement enterprise has a hard time." In the opinion of the insiders, this round of price increase may not be fully implemented, and the current shipment volume of the enterprise is about 2/3 of the normal level.

A cement enterprise in Jiaxing also reported that the price of cement would indeed rise by 20%, but the specific implementation is unknown.

From the overall market situation, the demand for cement has not improved significantly. This round of price increase is mainly due to the current low price. The cement enterprises want to restore their confidence by "rising to stop falling".

The shipment rate of Zhejiang cement released by China Cement Network also shows that although the shipment rate of Zhejiang cement has increased compared with May and June, the increase is limited.

However, for the later trend, this round of cement price rise is indeed a good signal. Zheng Jianhui, chief analyst of China Cement Big Data Research Institute, said that from the data of China Cement Network, the overall shipping rate in East China is increasing, and the clinker warehouse and cement warehouse have declined. The overall situation in East China is better. The decline of cement storage locations is good for the rise of cement price.

Zheng Jianhui also called on enterprises to further enhance market confidence, where conditions permit, continue to increase the intensity of off peak production, actively respond to local requirements for energy conservation and consumption reduction, and further promote the decline of cement storage sites. On this basis, it is believed that at the end of July and the beginning of August, East China cement prices are expected to usher in a round of multi regional general rise.

In addition, recently, many places in China have issued high temperature warnings, and residents' electricity consumption has reached a peak. At the same time, enterprises have accelerated the resumption of work and production, and the power consumption of the whole society has recovered rapidly, entering a seasonal peak of electricity and coal consumption.

In this regard, Zhejiang Hangzhou Development and Reform Commission issued the Notice on Ensuring Power Supply during the Summer Rush, which shows that enterprises in cement, calcium carbonate, printing and dyeing, textile and other high tech industries will continue to strictly control power consumption.

"At present, we have not received the notice of power restriction and production suspension." A person in charge of the production of a cement enterprise in Zhejiang said that since September in previous years, the requirements for energy consumption control have become stricter. Although there is no notice of power restriction and production suspension, it is not ruled out that it will occur later.

A cement company in western Zhejiang said that there was a notice of "orderly electricity use" in the local area, but the implementation was not so strong, and there was no large-scale production stoppage due to electricity restriction in the second half of last year. It is expected that the control of electricity restriction will be different this year.
